Open to Queries! BUT...

I expect lots of pent-up query action in the next few weeks, so bear with me...but also, BRING IT ON! :)

My submission guidelines are here and below. If you don't follow them...oooooh I'll be so mad.

For fiction, please send a one-page query letter, along with the first ten pages pasted in the body of the message by email to assistant@bookhaven.com. If nonfiction, please send a one-page query letter, a table of contents, and, if available, a proposal pasted into the body of the email to assistant@bookhaven.comPlease put the word QUERY and the title of your project in the subject field of your email and address it to the agent of your choice. Please do not send an attachment as the message will be deleted without being read and no reply will be sent. We reply to all queries and generally send a response within 4-6 weeks.

  2. That's so weird... I could have sworn I saw this entry from you, word for word, highlighted part for highlighted part, a few days ago (maybe the fifth or the sixth of January?).

Am I going crazy or do I have some kind of ESP?

And should I resend my query, considering I queried you a few days ago when I thought I saw this?

  3. Hi Meredith,

In the "Still Closed to Queries" post, you said you were going to work through your remaining manuscripts before reopening to queries. I haven't heard back from my requested revised manuscript. Does this mean you're still working on the manuscripts?

  5. Just missed your list of wishes. You wish for novels in Historical Asia and anything in India. Mine is in Contemporary China. Oh Well. Best wishes, Meredith, in finding some great novels to represents from all the queries, and Happy New Year!
